State highway plan and forecasts

Prior to becoming part of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), Transit NZ published an annual State Highway Plan and Forecast. It was published around the beginning July each year.

The State highway plan and forecast detailed the planned state highway maintenance and capital improvements for the current year, the remaining plan years covered by the government's funding guarantee, and a forecast out to 10 years.

July 2008 was the last time the State highway plan and forecast was published. Since 2009 State highway activities have been included in Regional Land Transport Plans, which are incorporated into NZTA's National land transport programme (NLTP)
