Preparing the 2009-2012 programme

Guidelines have been prepared to help approved organisations prepare their land transport programmes (LTPs) and submit them for including in the National land transport programme.

Preparing land transport programmes for 2009-2012 is covered by the Planning, programming and funding manual 2008. Section A1.3  provides a high-level view of the planning, programming and funding (PPF) process, as follows:

  • Develop strategies and plans
  • Formulate and assess activities and combinations of activities
  • Draft, consult on, assess and finalise the RLTP
  • Draft, assess, finalise and adopt the NLTP (see Chapter D3).
